01/09/2021  Answer (1 of 3): If its an older model, there will a drain plug. If its a newer one, like my Honda, there is no drain plug. You have to tip the mower on its side and let the oil run out of the filler hole. Thats the way it was made. Be careful you dont spill all the gas when doing it. Good luck.

20/03/2016  I changed the oil filter, but for the life of me, I cannot get the drain plug loose. Its on their TIGHT! Its the type of drain plug that has the 4 sided/square surface for putting a tool on, not a regular socket. I don't have the correct 8 sided socket to fit it ( I have three, and the largest said 5/16), and whoever owned it before has the 4 sides chewed up a bit already.
